David Linstrom, born in New Zealand, began his career in strategy, performance and change management, at Otago University, where he received 1st Class Honors Degree for his dissertation on Strategy.
As part of his dissertation, David focused on strategic failure. Throughout his career his work has showed that strategic implementation not strategic development is at the core of most business failure.
Due to his impressive academic record, and I.T. background from the Royal New Zealand Air Force, David was hired as a Strategy Consultant by Gentia Software from the UK (today part of Boston Rocket Software), the first company in the world to release Balanced Scorecard Automation & Delivery Technology. David was one of the first consultants in the world who worked full time implementing Strategy Frameworks supported by a Balanced Scorecard Software.
